Tip 25: Survey parents to assess the success of remote learning
When it comes to remote assignments, how much is too little? Is your current workload overwhelming? Can students access everything they need? Are students actually doing their work?
There are tons of questions when it comes to distance learning — and the answers widely vary depending on district, school, neighborhood and individual families. Why not go to the source to get answers?
As distance learning settles in, we’re seeing various districts (including the New York Department of Education) send out surveys to “get a pulse” on how students and their families are faring at home when it comes to learning and mental health.
We’ve created a template which you can find here and copy. (Psst: if you’re a ParentSquare user, you’ll find it as a template that you can tweak to your liking.)
Our survey template is inspired by many examples, including ones we found on Edurio and SurveyMonkey. (Please note: do not fill out the SurveyMonkey questionnaire as it’s used by a real district.)
