Meet the Team: Andrzej Kolaczewski

This week’s Meet the Team Monday is Andrzej Kolaczewski, our Communications Specialist in Sales. He communicates with customers to figure out what they need on a case-by-case basis and works to create effective business solutions for them.

Where did you grow up?

Most of my growing up took place in Orange County, CA, but I also spent a lot of time in Warsaw, Poland. Most of my family still lives in Poland and I went there every summer as a child to visit them. I was able to maintain fluency in Polish because of this and experience a different culture/home every year.

In what ways are you the same as your childhood self?

Growing up, I was always extremely friendly and talkative. I was known as the person who would never stop smiling and was always cracking jokes. I would say this carried on into my adulthood as I’m still always smiling and cracking jokes, I just have a few more responsibilities now.

What are some small things that make your day better?

Starting my day off by brewing my own cup of coffee. There is something therapeutic in the process of creating a fresh cup. I like ending my day by going for a run on the beach at sunset listening to music. It will always make my day better.

What is the nerdiest thing you do in your free time?

I watch a lot of cooking videos on Youtube. Gordon Ramsay and Binging with Babish are two of my favorites channels. I’ll also sprinkle in some videos on how to make latte art.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

Korea or Japan. I have always been interested in the cultures and food. There are so many parts of Europe that I still haven’t seen either that I would love to. My favorite place that I have ever been to is Italy. You will never find better gelato anywhere else.

Any memorable ParentSquare moment?

On the way back from a successful 2018 CETPA Conference with Jay (Director of Business Development) and Sohit (CEO), we stopped at Salinas City BBQ in Salinas, CA. It was some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had and a good way to end our week-long trip!

What do you like most about working for ParentSquare?

What I like most about working for ParentSquare is being surrounded by co-workers who are bright, motivated, and caring. I have always wanted to work in the education space and it makes me happy that I'm helping schools and districts build stronger communities.

Andrzej has been at ParentSquare since March 5th, 2018.
